We
have following grades available:
1. Di Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate (Milled)
2. Di Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate (Unmilled)
3. Di Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate (Directly Compressible)
Wet Granulation
For wet granulation Di Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate (Milled)
is used.
Wet granulation continues to be a widely used method in the
manufacture of Tablets. In this process, granules are formed
from wetted mixtures of the pre-blended tablet ingredients
(usually milled form of active ingredients plus excipients),
dried, screened and compressed into tablets. This method is
often employed in tablets that have either a low dose active
or a very high dose of actives.
Direct Compression
For direct compression following grades of DCP are used.
Di Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate (Directly Compressible)
Di Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate (Unmilled)
In this process, active ingredients and excipients (D.C.
form) are blended and compressed directly. It is the most
widely accepted, less elaborate, most economical way of production.
Advantages of direct compression are as under:
- Reduced investment
- Reduced production cost
- Reduced friability
- Reduces time
- Saves energy due to elimination of heat and moisture and
simpler production steps, thus stability in the final product.
